Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
